Perhaps the US should start collecting and preparing all those FEMA Trailers sitting in storage and uncollected from Katrina. Load them on a cargo ship. get the army corp. of engineers to thier port to do repairs to recieve them asap. and hopefully they will have some of the major roadways cleared to deliver them inland. this would be the quickest shelters we could provide and they would last the years that it’s going to take to rebuild.

Thanks so much for your post. What a devastating thing to happen to such an already devastated country. I am wondering if one of Craft Hope’s future projects could be for kids (or adults) there. I realize that at this point there is no way to even get things there but in the near future there will. I know you must have lots of plans already but I know I would so love to send my love to the people there with something handmade! By the way, I am so excited to have found your site! One scarf made and another on the needles!!
