Hi there friends! Sorry for the brief break, no I haven’t had the baby yet. Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we are all doing well and the monkeys have been coming in non-stop. The baby is due in two weeks so I can’t wait to share the newest addition to our little Craft Hope family with you.
A HUGE thank you to Marjorie for spearheading this project and taking care of all of the monkeys before they head to the children at the preschool burn camp. I’m sure the monkeys have been up to no good around her house. I’ve also enjoyed reading your blog posts and seeing the cute pictures of your monkeys causing mischief around your house and yard. I’m sorry I’m not always able to comment, but I do follow many of you.

There are currently 101 monkeys raising havoc playing nicely at Marjorie’s house! Thank you to all of you who have made monkeys for the children at the preschool burn camp. They are certain to put a smile on the kids faces.

I’ve also heard stories of groups getting together to make monkeys and I sincerely appreciate those of you who are spearheading these efforts.
Keep the monkeys coming in, the deadline is this Friday, September 18th! They will all find a great home.

What a fantastic looking group of monkeys! Hope you don’t have any guests coming over soon as your guest room looks more than a little occupied at the moment!
)
They look like they’re having such a good time together! My two on on their way and will be sure to make it before Friday!
they look amazing! what a great job everyone has done!
I see mine! What a warm feeling I just had from seeing all these great monkeys!
how adorable is that??? LOVE IT!
What a wild bunch! They are adorable. It’s so exciting to see everyone working together to help these little kiddos!
Ours went out in the mail to you yesterday. My daughter had a bittersweet moment saying goodbye to the sweet little monkey. She so enjoyed watching me make it and wished it were hers, but she is also happy that it is going to make another child happy. This was a fun project! (my daughter did get to keep the prototype I made for practice, so it was a win-win)
Is September 18 a hard cut-off, I have some girls who will have their monkeys done by the 20th, so I could mail it the next day.
Oh my goodness! They are all so precious. I have a bundle to send to you soon! Mine may be a day or two late! Urgh! But they’ll be there soon!! I love looking at all those monkeys… just precious!
WOW! What an incredibly fun bunch of troublemakers!! Thanks for posting the photos!
Ticia, mail them when you can. We set up the deadline so that we have room for some coming in after that date.
Thanks!!
I love all those monkeys!! And the variations of the same idea. It is awesome!!
I even see my monkey’s too!!
OMGOSH, they are all so CUTE together….like a giant slumber party. I am so glad I was involved in this project!
These photos have been so inspiring! Is it too late to request the mailing address? I would get it in the mail via Priority Mail. Either way, thanks for all you’ve done on this great project!
Those are all so adorable! Mine monkey is somewhere in between Minnesota and California right now..
I am so proud to be part of this – thank you guys
Hi! I found your blog through a friend who made some monkeys for your last project. My husband is a youth pastor in Florida and we are currently planning a mission trip to Nicaragua for mid-November. We will be visiting/working with two rescue homes that rescue children that live in the city dump in Managua. i don’t know if you are currently looking for a new project to do, but i would be very happy to help you organize a new project to do for the children! the website for the homes is:
http://www.ohearts.org/content.php?id=12&pid=2&page=Outreach&title=Rescue-Homes
this will be a medical mission trip and we could even use some of the things donated to give out to children who come to the clinic. we also do a walk- through at the dump and could give things to the children there. There are many options.
please contact me if you are interested! this would be great! thanks

I’d love to get involved and help in anyway that I can. I know that I have an army of women (from church) with wonderful sewing talents that would love to contribute as well. I know I’ve missed the deadline for this project as I’ve just stumbled upon your site, but I’ll definately make the next one!
Hope my monkey arrived safely from England and I wish you lots of luck with your cause.
Due to my circumstances right now, I did not get to make and send a sock monkey as I had planned I would do. I loved seeing all the beautiful ones sent for the children. I will keep the children and the wonderful weekend planned in my prayers. Thanks for letting us all share in this experience.
What a joy it has been to participate in Project Four! I had helped my 10 year old niece Molly and my 8 year old grandaughter Emily create two little sock monkeys and I know the whole process was a happy and giving one for them as well. We look forward to hearing how all the sock monkeys were received at the camp! I hope the two children who pick Molly’s and Emily’s creations enjoy the pictures I sent along as well! God bless everyone!
Hi! I was just wondering if you took suggestions for crafts? I’m involved with an organization that needs 15,000 crocheted or knitted beanies by the end of January for orphans in Swaziland, Africa.
If you think you can help (or get the word out to your readers) that would be lovely. Let me know! THanks!
im so sad that i never got home earlier enough to send off my monkeys. ive been back and forward from nebraska to georgia. i hope the kids enjoy those awesome and fun looking sock monkeys. amazing work ladies…!!!
Oh, I sure hope shipmate “Brock Lee” made it safely and in the nick of time! Can’t wait for the next project! Lots of love from Denver!
What an amazing thing you all have done! So incredible, gives me warm fuzzies!
